Thomas Mensforth Junior was a very good pal of mine at this time. He ended up hating pursey cos pursenatcher ripped them off…..best band ive ever seen live !

well they were mates with jimmy pursey..he perhaps helped produce them or something but i think mensi did the lyrics..who else would’ve been angry enough

…that is mad. Saw Angelic Upstarts at Tops of the Pops the day of this video. Gary Numan and the Flying Lizards too I think…can’t remember who else. We were only young….ended up in the BBC bar later and had a drink with the Angelic Upstarts….not very punk rock appearing on TOTPs tho lads!!
Just watching on german TV a “Best Of” of TOTP. They’re showing shows before the date i was born. Thought i would see some good old rocksongs, if i watch it. And than i see this great Oi!-song. Never heard the name Angelic Upstars. And i’m so glad to know them now. Have to search for a CD.
God damn it and two songs later they showed Sham 69 -You’re A Better Man Than I.
