Reading these Tarja rants are pathetic. Its like a friend breaks up with his girlfriend and finds someone new and you still can’t get past THEIR breakup. Nightwish is what it is. Tarja has gone solo. Deal with it!
Rhenakos, I think you’re right.
But for me Nightwish without Tarja, is not the same Nightwish, because there is no contrast between heavy riffs and her opera voice.
And guitars don’t sound as hot (as hell), as at “Once”, which is my favourite CD. :)
My issue is not “who is the better singer”. It’s just that Nightwish, for me, was an operatic style of metal that introduced me to the beauty in such harmony ; and Annette [or however it's spelled], cannot live up to that. Tarja was the original, and [in my eyes] the only fitting female voice for Nightwish. The new singer’s style ruins my image of the past band I love so much to listen to.
So, once again. It’s not about who’s better, it’s just about Nightwish not being the same it used to.

tarja kicked ass, man she needs to come back, and for the record, alone in the dark should NOT have been allowed to use the songs they used in the movie. this song should not have been at the end of the movie. alone in the dark is not good enough for nighwish or any of the other bands they used. so there :P..no really though. Nightwish was beater wen Tarja was the singer but Amaranth is also GOOD try it out it is Annete there sing but it is GOOD, i think about how Amaranth will be if it was Tarja there was the singer, and in Amaranth, it look like annete dont take it series, but it is so GOOD, now it is my faverit song:)
