Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, and the Fallen Angels. This is the first track of the LP of the same name. A little country for ya: honky tonks, saloons, shit kickers, smokers, and Bakersfield sound. Please visit: gramparsons.blogspot.com

I love the calico bonnet line. So cool!
I fucking love this song! I think Emmylou has a sexy voice!
This version is great….different than what I hear on “G.P./Grevious Angel”, as some have commented. Gram and Emmylou make the song what it is, but I’d recommend an “instrumental only” version available on the “Reprise Sessions” album…….those “Elvis” session players really jam!
This song sounds kind of…sloppy. They both sound off-key in several places. I’ve heard about how great a singer Gram Parsons was supposed to be, but he sounds average at best here.
This is the alternate take of this song. Interesting little differences.
BEAUTIFUL! This is true art.
Actually, its “pick it for me JAMES” as in James Burton.
Definitely a classic song — it never gets old (unlike me)
Gram would have loved that comment.
So great! They were so good together!
One of the purest and best albums song to song ever created….The world would have been a better place with Gram still in it……..
whenever I feel a bit under the weather …this song ( no matter what ) makes me smile
Pick it for me Jane ….
I would have loved to have seen Emmy Lou and Gram sing this song live…what a treat that would have been……….RIP Gram, we miss you…Emmy Lou just keeps getting sexier each year,,,she s indeed a true angle herself
Every time I get on youtube, I have to watch this at least once, sometimes twice.
they play this at highway burger joints, gets on my nerve as its kind of creepy.
Cowboy angels is a beautiful concept

I hope you have had a wonderful christmas. it’s because of people like you that put so much hard work into these videos that so many people are just now learning about this amazing man called the Grievous Angel…be safe at home gram. :) your missed everyday.
great music to smoke weed to. love ya gram!
Thank you…
Just plain nice, nice to hear it!
Beautiful video and great song. I am disappointed to hear James Burton’s superb guitar solo cut though.
im not heavily into this type of music like i should be , but the sound is really soothing for me
Haven’t heard this since it came out in 1973. Thanks for posting one of the best songs Parsons ever recorded. Me I’m heading back out with the Truckers ,and kickers, and the Cowboy Angels!
cheers!
