Yes. Angels are messengers of God. But they are organized into principalities and powers. They guard gates, drive spirit horses, and protect and fight for Gods people along with other jobs.
Holy Quran tell us that some famous angels paying there particular duties from GOD.Like
1- Jabrial is a messanger between the God and His holy prophets
2- Mikaiel is angle of rain.
3- Israial is anglel of death.
4- Rezwan is Incharge of Heaven.
5- Malik is angel of Hell
All they are performing only there own duties from God.They can”t do any other with order of God.
